Routing Metrics in Wireless Mesh Network

چکیده

Routing metrics of multi-hop wireless networks differ from traditional routing metrics due to dynamic and unpredictable nature of wireless media. Many routing metrics were proposed for single-radio as well as multi-radio mesh networks. In this paper we study various routing metrics such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX) metric, Expected Transmission Time (ETT), Weighted cumulative ETT (WCETT) and also propose a metric called Weighted Cumulative Conflicting Expected Transmission Time (WCConfETT). Finally we have made an analysis and compared it with other routing metrics. The analytical results show that the proposed WCConfETT performs better than other matrices with respect to the selection of good quality and less interference effected path.
